Luciana was born at home in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi an Italian Army officer, and her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's lovers. She does not have any known siblings. Luciana was a student at the local high school, and after graduating in 1955 was a student at the Naval Engineering department of the Scientific Academy of Milan. It was her only female in the class. Following two years of modeling, she was offered an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Brett Halsey - an actor who was her first partner. The couple also made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 following their wed. Luciana gained custody after divorce. The couple had a child boy named Charles that was born on June 1961. Between 1962 and 1970, Luciana dated Tony Athony, an actor and producer. Tony was inspired by her work in the movie Green Slime and based on that he wrote and produced the mixed Spaghetti Western for which he gained some recognition.
