Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them popular throughout the world of rock. The band was never able to the group to be an instant hit in the United States, however they did gain a fair amount of popularity in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the split of the band. She started taking voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following her albums didn't gain much popularity. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was short-lived and she remained absent from the music industry for a number of years. In 1995 she debuted 'Black' and 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
